MEET THE TEAM
CHARLOTTE HUNTER (Artistic Director)
Charlotte (she/her) is a director and producer originally from Leicestershire, and now based in London, as well as a graduate from the University of Leeds with a first-class BA (Hons) in English Literature with Theatre Studies.
Her directing credits include Alice by Heart and Bonnie & Clyde (Pyramid Theatre). Assistant directing credits include Dance Nation (Stage@Leeds), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Golden Goose Theatre), Hysteria (Golden Goose Theatre) and The Last Five Years (Pyramid Theatre).
Producing/General Management credits include: Lonesome Tonight (Edinburgh Fringe), Hysteria (Golden Goose Theatre), Little Shop of Horrors (Pyramid Theatre), and Mother Knows Best (Bread & Roses Theatre).
Charlotte also works for theatre PR agency ANRPR, working across publicty campaigns that include Six The Musical (West End), The Choir of Man (Arts Theatre, Marble Arch), Slava’s Snow Show (UK Tour), and the Watermill Theatre in Newbury.
She is extremely passionate about new writing, and bold, imaginative adaptations, and has a strong love for in immersive and in-the-round staging.
FREYA MACTAVISH (Artistic Director)
Freya (she/her) is an actor, writer and director based in London and Geneva.
She is the writer and director of the original musical Fringe the Musical, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024, running to sold out audiences and receiving rave reviews. Other directing credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Pyramid Theatre).
Freya is also a recent graduate of the London School of Musical Theatre. Acting credits include Constance in A Wilde LIfe (Tour: Ed. Fringe & Town and Gown), Amy in Company (Riley Smith Theatre) and Cathy in The Last Five Years (Pyramid Theatre)
Most recently as Liza Elliott in Lady in the Dark (Bridewell Theatre).
Freya has an extensive classical singing background with vocal coaching credits including Songs for a New world (Pyramid Theatre) and Company (Riley Smith Theatre). She is an actor-musician playing guitar, piano, and trumpet.
ALEX BOULTON (Executive Director)
Alex (he/him) is a musical director, writer and producer from North London.
He was one of the writers and musical director of A Wilde Life, a new musical which toured the UK to 5* reviews before a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023.
Other musical direction credits include Grease (Wyllyotts Theatre), The Last Five Years (Pyramid Theatre), RENT (Riley Smith Theatre), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Pyramid Theatre) and The Addams Family (Riley Smith Theatre). Alongside this, he has worked extensively as an orchestrator and keyboard programmer.
In his free time, Alex works as a Doctor in the Emergency Department and GP Surgery. He is involved in medical politics on a local and national level.
